Plainfield Art League - “Come Paint With Us” Date Change

"Come Paint With Us" June 29th CANCELLED Make-Up date is July 6th at the Plainfield Community Center-PCC on the Five Thursday afternoon July 6th 12:30pm-3:30pm PAL is offering this program through the Plainfield Park District/Township Community Center entitled "Come Paint With Us!"  It is an open studio, bring-your-own-supplies, type program which offers group time to learn and share and create.  There will not be any fee for all sessions and will run on Thursdays July 6th at the Plainfield Township Community Center, 15014 S DesPlaines St, Plainfield.  If you or anyone you know are interested in attending this informal, fun program, please contact Freddie Harmon at 815-685-8423 OR the Plainfield Township Community Center at 815-267-3350.  Sign up at http://www.plainfieldparkdistrict.com/.  Come to one or all sessions and enjoy! June 2017 One Night Show Winner

<headline> View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***   Melissa Lane wins PAL Best of Show Ribbon Local photographer & artist, Melissa Lane won the Best of Show ribbon at the Plainfield Art Leagues, June, One Night Show, held at the Plainfield Public Library. Melissa won the award for her canvas photography titled "Yesterday's Front Porch". Judge Ken Konjevich's comments were: "Nice composition of an interesting subject. Excellent tonal range bringing out subtle details throughout the artwork. Wonderful play between light and dark areas creating mystery and intrigue. Great shadow detail." Congratulations! The Plainfield Art League meets and hold its' demos on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm to 8:45pm. The meetings are normally held  in the large meeting room in the Plainfield Public Library located at 15025 S. Illinois Street, in downtown Plainfield. This facility is handicapped accessible. Members, please pickup your hanging artwork and dropoff 1-2 new pieces to hang at the Plainfield Community Center. If you haven't displayed here yet, please participate in this opportunity to show Plainfield our great artwork. If you can't make the pickup, please make arrangements as all artwork is changing.
