Dropoff of art  Feb 1st - Thur - 7pm Theme: "Love, Kindness, Compassion & Hope" at Plainfield Library Dropoff is in the Library lower lever in the bay windows area at 7pm. The theme does not have to be followed, only best of theme ribbon will include theme in judging, all other ribbons will not include theme.   Pickup is March 3rd before noon. Plainfield Library is located 15025 S Illinois St, Plainfield, IL 60544 click=map Members Gallery Members, please take a look at our website's Members Gallery page.  18 of our members have submitted an artwork image to put on the PAL website.  Everyone else, please send me one of your images to put in our members gallery.  We'd like to show the world your wonderful art.  Also, include information about your artworks such as medium(s).  Just a short sentence...  look at the couple of members that have more than their name displayed.  Send your image to info@plainfieldartleague.org.  if you need help with getting your image ready, call me, Mike Bessler @ 630-667-5174 cell. Plainfield Art League (PAL) promotes interest, knowledge, support and participation in the Fine Arts. PAL normally meets the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm, check our website at www.plainfieldartleague.org for details.  These monthly meeting are free and open to the public. Meeting location is handicapped accessible. Plainfield Art League February Meeting News Release

Plainfield Art League Press Release View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***  The Plainfield Art League would like to invite you to our February meeting and Open to the public One Night Show on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 7pm to 8:45pm at  the Plainfield Library in the lower level meeting room.(NOTE: location change). This months demonstration is ID Yourself (show and tell) and Critique of your artwork. Members and the public are invited to spend up to 5 minutes describing yourself as an artist and a person including background information so the membership gets to know you a little bit better. Be sure to bring in some of your artwork and describe in detail how the artwork was achieved. Also available will be a Critique of your artwork, where areas that impressed and areas that did not, along with suggestions to make a difference may be provided. You may also ask about a specific problem you are having, Plainfield Art League has many experienced members that have expertise in oil, water color, acrylic, and other painting techniques as well as expertise in photography techniques and printing. So please bring in your artwork and discuss it with us. And Don't forget to bring a piece of your artwork to be entered into The One Night Show! Meeting and The One Night Art Show is free to the public!   Please come early to ensure you get a seat. Light refreshments will be provided. Plainfield Art League's demonstrations are free and open to the public. Note location change. This meeting is not at American House Cedarlake-AHC. The meeting will be at the Plainfield Library which is located at 15025 South Illinois St., Plainfield IL 60544. November 2017 One Night Show Winner

<headline> View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***   Barb Kelly wins PAL Best of Show Ribbon Local artist, Barb Kelly won the Best of Show ribbon at the Plainfield Art Leagues, November, One Night Show, held at American House Cedarlake. Barb won the award for her watercolor painting titled "This One Daddy!". Judge Dave McMurtrie's comments were: "Vibrant watercolors! Nice balance of the elements in the picture. Looks like a photo!" Congratulations! The Plainfield Art League meets and hold its' demos on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm to 8:45pm. The meetings are  held  at American House Cedarlake located at 14804 S.
