April 4th 7pm meeting, demo and ONS
open to the public at American House Cederlake-AHC
demo by Anne Bernstein - Color Pencil

This meeting is Apr 4th, 7pm at American House Cederlake-AHC.

- This is a free meeting and open to the public -

Anne Bernstein will be presenting Color Pencil - it's tools, techniques, and substrates. The focus on detail and realism, and the versatility of this medium to be used on a variety of surfaces, makes Colored Pencil Art enticing to many. Attendees will have a chance to try their hand with colored pencils. You may bring your own colored pencils if you'd like.

Anne has completed pieces of work on duralar, plexiglass, black and colored paper, and suede mat board, as well as many pieces on drawing board paper. Her subjects range from portrait to landscapes, from wildlife to still life. In her own words:
From my perspective, colored pencil art can be absorbing and intense, as well as relaxing and enjoyable while at all times being rewarding on many levels. The realism of each picture draws me in - as if actually experiencing, in real time, the moods, atmosphere, textures, and objects represented in each piece.

ONS - One Night Show
The public as well as members are invited to participate in "A One Night Show" (ONS) that will also take place during the meeting.  Each attendee (members and non-members) should bring in one artwork to display to everyone at the meeting.  The best judged artwork will receive a ribbon.  Remember, bringing in an artwork for the ONS is a defensive move as the judge is chosen from those that do NOT bring in a piece.  How's that for an unveiled threat!

Members Gallery
Members, please take a look at our website's Members Gallery page.  Most of our members have submitted an artwork image to put on the PAL website. Everyone else, please send me one of your images to put in our members gallery. We'd like to show the world your wonderful art. Also, include information about your artworks such as medium(s)... Just a short sentence... look at the couple of members that have more than their name displayed. Send your image to info@plainfieldartleague.org. if you need help with getting your image ready, call Mike Bessler @ 630-667-5174.
