2017 Best of the Best Exhibit Winners at Dist-202 Jon Balke Gallery View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***  2018 Best of the Best Exhibit Winners to Advance to the Alliance of Fine Arts Exhibition Plainfield Art League (PAL) is proud to announce the winners of the 2018 Best of the Best Exhibit. PAL members competed seperately, with a total of 49 students from Plainfield South, Plainfield Central, Minooka/Channahon, and Plainfield East High Schools going head to head for the opportunity to advance to the Alliance of Fine Art, 2018 Best of the Best competition. Student winners are: 1st  place - Lexi Moisan, Plainfield Central H.S., pastel - Moo Moo art teacher Lindsey Brown 2nd place - Grace Richardson, Minooka/Channahon H.S., pencil - Eagle art teachers Chris Listello & Dana Baker 3rd  place - Oleg Bezugla, Plainfield East H.S., colored pencil - The White Side of the Savage art teacher Emily Tonon Lexi Moisan, 1st place will be advancing to the Alliance of Fine Arts Student Best of the Best Scholarship Exhibition. Exhibition is Wednesday, March 14 to Saturday, March 17 at Naperville Art League located at 508 N. Center Street in Naperville. Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held Saturday, March 17th From 1-2 pm where two $500 scholarships  and two $250 scholarships will be presented.  Plainfield Art League winners are: 1st  place - Barb Kelly, watercolor - Sunflowers at Sunset 2nd place - Rose Jaeger, acrylic, - Untitled (Lighthouse) 3rd  place - Andrew Jensen, oil painting - The Four Seasons in One Head 4th  place - Tita Brady, oil painting - Mountain Harvest 5th  place - Melissa Lane, photo on canvas - Yesterday's Front Porch 5th  place - Carol Cooley, oil painting - Peruvian Mother and Baby 7th  place - Mike Bessler, photo - The Long Walk Home 8th  place - Freddie Harmon, watercolor - Over the Moon All eight places of the Plainfield Art League Winners will be advancing to compete in the Alliance of Fine Arts Best of Best Show. The Alliance of Fine Arts 2018 Best of Best show will be in Wheaton College's Walford Galleries located on the first floor of Adams Hall , 501 College Ave, in Wheaton, IL. The show dates will be Wed. May 9 to Thurs. May 31. The gallery is open daily Mon - Fri 9 am to 5 pm.  Reception date will be Thur. May 17, 6 pm to 8 pm.    We want to congratulate all the winners and wish them good luck at the Alliance of Fine Art competition. We also want to thank all the students that participated in the exhibit.
