Most of her work is one of a kind and theme based. It generally falls into 2 categories: functional and sculptural. Functional is working with customers to create custom plate ware and matching accessory pieces. Sculptural is making wild abstracted flowers and vases, bottles, and jars. The appeal of working in clay is that you can mold it, fire it and turn it into something that is permanent. I make a representation of a flower and freeze it in time. When I create a flower in clay, I am not trying to make a real flower. I am sculpting the feeling of a flower. It is something playful, beautiful and abstract. ONS - One Night Show The public as well as members are invited to participate in "A One Night Show" (ONS) that will also take place during the meeting. Each attendee (members and non-members) should bring in one artwork to display to everyone at the meeting. The best judged artwork will receive a ribbon. Remember, bringing in an artwork for the ONS is a defensive move as the judge is chosen from those that do NOT bring in a piece. How's that for an unveiled threat! Members Gallery Members, please take a look at our website's Members Gallery page. Most of our members have submitted an artwork image to put on the PAL website. Everyone else, please send me one of your images to put in our members gallery. We'd like to show the world your wonderful art. Also, include information about your artworks such as medium(s)... Just a short sentence... look at the couple of members that have more than their name displayed.
