Plainfield Art League Press Release View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*** The Plainfield Art League would like to invite you to our May meeting and Open to the public One Night Show on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 7pm to 8:45pm at American House Cedarlake-AHC. This months demonstration is with Illinois photographer Ken Konjevich.  Ken will be demonstrating Gallery Wrap Framing with the Breathing Color EasyWrappe Do-it-yourself gallery wrap system. Save time and money with this quick and easy canvas stretching system. No tools required to assemble. Ken will also share information on how to promote your art using a free website with Fine Art America. In addition to the Demonstration there will be a One Night Show. Everyone attending the meeting (members or guests) should bring a piece of their artwork to display during the meeting. So Don't forget to bring a piece of your artwork to be entered into The One Night Show! Meeting and The One Night Art Show is free to the public! Please come early to ensure you get a seat. Light refreshments will be provided. Plainfield Art League's demonstrations are free and open to the public. The meeting will be at American House Cedarlake-AHC which is located at 14800 S. Van Dyke Rd., Plainfield IL 60544. The facility is handicapped accessible, so don't let that stop you from joining the group in a fun and interesting night. 2018 Alliance Of Fine Art Exhibition $500 Scholarship Winner Lexi Moisan of Plainfield Central

<headline> View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***   ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE*** 2018 Alliance of Fine Arts Exhibition Best of the Best Exhibit $500 Scholarship Winner Lexi Moisan of Plainfield Central Plainfield Art League (PAL) is proud to announce that Lexi Moisan was one of the $500 scholarship winners of the 2018 Alliance of Fine Arts Exhibition Best of the Best winning with her pastel "Moo Moo". Lexi was one of 21 entries in The Alliance of Fine Art Exhibition advancing from 12  Art Leagues. Two $500 scholarships  and two $250 scholarships were presented to the top four entries.  Lexi Moisan, (Plainfield Central, art teacher Lindsey Brown) advanced to the Alliance of Fine Arts Student Best of the Best Scholarship Exhibition by placing 1st with her pastel "Moo Moo" from the Plainfield Art League's Best of Best Exhibit this past January.    For more information, please visit us at www.plainfieldartleague.org. April 2018 One Night Show Winner

<headline> View this email in your browser ***FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE***   Jutta Shetina wins PAL Best of Show Ribbon Local artist, Jutta Shetina won the Best of Show ribbon at the Plainfield Art Leagues, April, One Night Show, held at American House Cedarlake. Jutta won the award for her colored pencil titled "Birds". Judge Dave McMurtrie comments were: "Nice composition. Looks like a photograph. " Congratulations! The Plainfield Art League meets and hold its' demos on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm to 8:45pm. The meetings are  held  at American House Cedarlake located at 14804 S.
