April 5th - 7pm meeting, demo and ONS at Plainfield Library demo by Bobbie Wheeler This is a free meeting and open to the public, so all you friends of PAL, come back and see how we're doing. Light refreshments will be served. This months demonstration will be presented by local artist Bobbie Wheeler on "Marketing your Art". Join us on April 5th when Bobbie will describe the path that lead her to commercial art and how her designs ended up on store shelves. If marketing your art is something that you've considered, she will offer suggestions on how to work towards that goal. She will also be discussing the use of art journaling as a valuable tool to hone your craft and to experiment with colors, styles, texture and form as well as to document the paths of our lives that form us as artists and human beings. Bobbie will be bringing samples of her work as inspiration. Bobbie Wheeler is an energetic artist who loves to explore many different art forms: Digital graphic design, product design, watercolor painting, art journaling, live painting, collage art, 3-D art, jewelry making and photography. She holds a BFA in Architectural Interiors and has an extensive background in art, design and teaching. As a freelance product designer since 2005, her designs for Wilton Industries have been produced for retailers such as Wal-Mart, Michaels, JoAnn's, A.C. Moore, and Party City among others. In addition to being sold in several stores in the Chicagoland area, her commissioned art has been displayed in commercial and residential spaces, medical offices and large churches. She also enjoys holding workshops for creation of art and prayer journals.
